... was a female Tamil Tiger named Thenmozhi (sometimes Thenmuli) Rajaratnam, also known as Dhanu. She wore a belt under her dress, with an explosive device attached to it, and detonated it as she bent to kiss Gandhi's feet, as he walked from his car to the dais from which he was scheduled to give a speech at an election rally. Fourteen onlookers were killed, as well as Gandhi and Dhanu.
